5/6 Classroom Newsletter for Ms. James

I have included photos from TSS (Teton Science School) in today’s newsletter and I will add more next week just for fun! I am so proud of all our students for their effort, attitudes, and participation. A big “shout out” to Christine Gray, Buddy Crater, and Alanna Coca for all you did for the kids and I!!! Thank you so much and thank you to all the parents who worked behind the scenes to help make last week a success!!!!

It is somewhat challenging for the kids to jump back into our routine. Fortunately we have review words for spelling this week. We will have a Spelling Bee Thursday morning and take our Spelling Test Thursday afternoon.

I will be working hard this last semester to reinforce all skill areas and strengthen any areas of deficit I identify.

Cell Phone Policy Reminder

Student cell phones need to remain in backpacks the entire school day. I want students to focus on the coursework instead of trying to contact others or text. If your child needs to contact you, please encourage them to do so only during recess or lunch recess.

 

Please keep encouraging your child to read for Book It. Reading logs for the month of January will go home today. If you have not sent sheets back for December, please do so ASAP. For more information go to: www.pizzahut.com/bookit
