TETON SCIENCE SCHOOL
One week to go before the trip. I am passing out an additional list of things to bring for the trip. One thing that is needed in addition to the clothes is a flat sheet and a pillowcase. Those we will place on the beds and pillows that are provided at the school. There will be information going home all week via e-mail as we prepare for the trip. Please bring in your chocolate money by this Wednesday so we can get the bars paid for. Thanks to all who have been selling. We have gotten rid of all 31 boxes.
BOOK FAIR WRAPS UP
Thanks to all who helped make the Christmas Book Fair a success. I want to thank Diane Hague, our Home and School President, for coordinating the event. We grossed about $700 which turns into Scholastic Teacher Bucks that the teachers can use online to purchase books and materials for their classrooms.
HELP THE SCHOOL WITH SAFEWAY CARDS
We have for sale Reloadable Safeway Gift Cards as well as $100 Gift Cards. The reloadable cards come with $10 pre-loaded on them so we sell them for $10. Then you can reload them as many times as you wish at the checkout and use them to buy groceries, gas, or prescriptions. The great thing is that you are giving 5% to the school every time you reload. If you’re a Safeway shopper, stop by and purchase your reloadable card or a $100 gift card. You can also call Gramma Mary Selzer for $100 Grocery Cards at 399-2566. The card will work at any Safeway throughout the West. Send one to Grandma and Grandpa who shop at Safeway in other towns and the school will still get the 5%.
HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING
This Thursday there will be a Home and School Meeting right after dismissal at 3:10 in the Art Room. Make plans to attend. The meetings usually last till about 4:00 and your kids can play in the gym.

NUTCRACKER
Thanks to the Home & School Association for making this wonderful experience happen for the children. There is nothing that compares to seeing the ballet right before our eyes. We were right down in the front rows!
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Thanks to Mrs. Lyford and all her students for a wonderful Christmas Program before the break. All the students performed well and really did us proud. Thanks also to the Home and School Association and Mary Selzer for the nice reception after the program.
THIS & THAT
The January calendar/menu will be coming home today with the oldest child. Please check those backpacks.
Sweat pants, sport pants, and other pants of that sort are not permitted according to the dress code. Please check your child on the way out the door in the morning in case they need to make a quick change.
Just a gentle reminder: students are permitted cell phones on school property, but please remind your child that they must be turned off and put away once your child enters the school building. There have been some issues, especially with the older students, about keeping those phones off and put away.
Winter is upon us so dress your child accordingly. They need coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, and boot as we go outside every day. They also need to have an extra pair of shoes at school to wear when they take off their boots. They can wear their PE shoes if they are kept at school. Students also need to be wearing socks as it makes getting shoes and boots on easier and is warmer for them.
